Logistica OS receives 1.5 million euros for AI-based automation in supply chains

The Berlin-based startup Logistica OS, which specializes in AI agents for operational logistics processes, has closed a pre-seed financing round of 1.5 million euros. The round was led by early-stage investor NAP, with investments coming from Daphni and several business angels from the logistics, retail and software sectors, among others.

Challenges facing the logistics sector

Logistics is one of the key economic sectors in Europe. Despite its volume of around 10 billion euros, the majority of processes are still analog. In Europe, around 300 million pallets move between companies every day, but many processes are still based on paper documents, Excel spreadsheets and manual coordination.

It is estimated that up to 50 billion euros in costs are incurred each year due to inefficient administration, a lack of equipment and media disruptions. At the same time, there is still a significant shortage of skilled workers. Over 1.5 million jobs are currently unfilled.

AI agents for recurring processes

Logistica OS is developing a system of specialized AI agents to automate operational tasks. The company's first product is called PalletClaim and addresses one of the most common problems in the industry, the reconciliation of pallet accounts between business partners.

The software reads handwritten and digital delivery bills using its own OCR models, extracts relevant data and automatically creates account reconciliations. The aim is to reduce manual reconciliations and minimize sources of error.

According to the company, PalletClaim now processes over 100,000 delivery bills per month and can significantly reduce the administrative workload for customers.

As delivery bills vary greatly in terms of their structure and quality, Logistica OS relies on a combination of AI models and domain-specific rules. Data processing takes place entirely on EU-hosted infrastructure in order to meet data protection and compliance requirements.

Logistica OS plans to use the capital raised to support over 100 companies in the automation of recurring work processes within the next 24 months.
