The Hague, April 3, 2024 - Main Capital Partners has successfully completed its 6-month dual fundraising, raising a total of €2.44 billion. The two new funds, Main Capital VIII and Main Foundation II, have far exceeded their original target amounts.

Oversubscription and strong investor interest

Investor interest was high, and despite difficult market conditions, a take-up rate of 115% was achieved. The funds were significantly oversubscribed, reflecting investor confidence in Main's proven strategy and track record.

Main Capital Partners increased its total assets under management to around EUR 6 billion with Main Capital VIII and Main Foundation II. The company saw strong participation from its existing investors as well as commitments from new investors of around EUR 1 billion.

Successful close despite challenging market conditions

Fundraising began in October 2023 with a target volume of EUR 1.6 billion and EUR 400 million for the two funds. The hard caps were successfully reached within just six months, despite a difficult financing situation overall.

Main has been active in buyout investments for 20 years and focuses on profitable small to medium-sized software companies. With a team of more than 70 professionals in various core markets and a broad market coverage, Main has become one of the most active investors in Europe.
