Mondu expands Series A funding round by $13 million

This brings the round to a total of 56 million US dollars. The B2B payment service provider intends to use the additional capital to expand internationally.
B2B payment service provider Mondu is expanding its Series A funding round by $13 million. Valar Ventures and FinTech Collective lead the expansion. In total, this increases the Series A to 56 million US dollars. Mondu intends to use the fresh capital to expand further internationally and develop new products. This includes, for example, an omnichannel solution.
This is intended to continue the current course. In early 2022, Mondu introduced a Buy Now, Pay Later solution and entered the Austrian and Dutch markets. After Berlin, it opened its second office in Amsterdam.
Since Malte Huffmann, Philipp Povel and Gil Danziger founded the startup in October 2021, it has grown steadily. Mondu now has 140 employees. At the beginning of 2022, there were still 20.
Since its founding, Mondu has secured a total of $90 million in equity and debt financing. The company wants to enable B2B customers to use similarly flexible payment methods as in the B2C market. According to its own statements, "thousands" of companies are already using Mondu's offering.
