Mozart AI launches with £530K pre-seed funding

London-based music tech startup Mozart AI has raised £530,000 in a pre-seed funding round and at the same time presented its first product version: an AI-based digital audio workstation (DAW) designed to help musicians with production and speed up creative processes.
AI co-producer instead of music generator
Mozart AI pursues a co-creation approach. The software is not intended to replace artists, but to support them in the realization of their ideas. Users of the DAW can delegate tasks such as creating chord progressions, drum patterns or mixing using natural language, either via text or voice input. The AI works in real time with the individual style characteristics of each artist.
Our goal is for musicians to focus on creative decisions while the AI takes care of the technical implementation
Sundar Arvind, CEO and Co-Founder Mozart AI
The platform should "unleash creativity in the moment of inspiration", including professional sound design.
Investors from the tech and music sectors
The financing round was led by EWOR, supported by New Renaissance Ventures, Atlantis Ventures, Visionaries Club and Stefan Glaenzer (founder of last.fm, investor in Monzo, among others). Series founder Felix Jahn is also involved.
The team behind Mozart AI consists of techies and musicians with their own production experience. In addition to Arvind, the founders include Arjun Khanna, Immanuel Rajadurai and Pascual Merita Torres.
Public launch planned for July 16
Mozart AI is currently in a closed beta, but will launch publicly on July 16, 2025. According to the company, the waiting list of initial users is growing steadily and initial feedback from the beta is promising.
Focus on the ethical use of AI
Mozart AI is being developed under the umbrella of Arthos, a company with the aim of researching AI tools for creative professions. The company emphasizes the responsible use of AI. It is not trained on copyrighted artist data and does not automatically generate complete songs. Instead, the focus is on supporting technology that enhances artistic expression without replacing it.
