N26 enters the telecommunications market

N26 launches mobile offer with eSIM, 5G and flexible tariffs from €13.99. A logical step towards the super app. More about the partnership with Vodafone.

Berlin, May 7, 2025 - Berlin-based digital bank N26 is expanding its offering to include mobile contracts and entering the German telecommunications market. Customers can now activate digital mobile plans via the N26 app. The eSIM makes this paperless, flexible and without fixed terms. The service will initially be launched in Germany, but will be expanded to other European markets.

eSIM technology for maximum flexibility

With N26 SIM, mobile phone tariffs can be activated within minutes. Users benefit from eSIM technology, which allows instant activation without the need for a physical SIM card. Three tariffs are offered with 10 GB, 30 GB and 100 GB data volume in the Vodafone 5G network, including unlimited calls, text messages and free EU/EEA roaming:

• S: 10 GB for €13.99/month
• M: 30 GB for €19.99/month
• L: 100 GB for €34.99/month

Tariff change and number portability included

Customers can take their existing phone number with them or choose a new number. With monthly cancelable tariffs and the option to manage multiple numbers on one device, N26 SIM is also suitable for frequent business travelers and users with multiple profiles.

The new tariffs are being realized in cooperation with Vodafone and the mobile network provider 1GLOBAL. Marcel de Groot, CEO of Vodafone Germany, emphasizes the importance of innovative partnerships.

Digital bank plans further expansion At launch, N26 SIM is only available to German customers with a private N26 account. In the near future, the offer is to be extended to other European countries.
