Neotiv raises ten million euros

The Magdeburg-based healthtech thus closed its Pre-Series A financing round. The company's own app is now to be made available nationwide.
The digital health start-up Neotiv from Magdeburg has closed its Pre-Series-A financing round and raised ten million euros. The money comes from Capricorn Partners, High-Tech-Gründerfonds and Vega Ventures, among others. Founded in 2017, the company plans to use the new capital to accelerate its international product launch.
The startup offers the app Neotivcare. Through digital memory tests, it aims to support customers with self-perceived memory problems. The app is also designed to help family members and doctors diagnose mild cognitive impairment. According to the company, the tests have been used on about 5,250 cases in its care program, citizen science and clinical trials to date.
Worldwide, the number of dementia and Alzheimer's patients is estimated at 32 million. According to Neotiv, another 69 million are in the early stages of the disease. Diagnosing them in the early stages is a major challenge, according to David Berron, co-founder of Neotiv, because currently available screening methods cannot detect them. "That's where Neotiv comes in."
