New top management for ordering app Choco

The ordering app Choco is getting reinforcements. Three experienced managers are now working for the start-up.

Kevin Huang, Henri Buchsteiner and Dominikus Kirchhoff will be part of the new management team at ordering app Choco from June 1. Huang will be the new Chief Operating Officer, Buchsteiner will be Chief Financial Officer and Kirchhoff will head up the European business. With their experience, they will help to further develop the start-up.

Huang was responsible for the development of products and services at the US food delivery service Doordash, which help retailers to grow on the platform. Huang was also a consultant at McKinsey & Company and worked at Slack Technologies. "I am very excited to join Choco as the company is tackling a massive and incredibly complex supply chain problem," says Huang.

Henri Buchsteiner previously worked as a Vice President in the investment banking division of Morgan Stanley and was a founding member and Executive Director of the flexible private equity fund at the same company. Choco is still at the beginning of a long journey, said the financial expert. He hopes that he can use his experience to help guide Choco through its next phase of growth.

Prior to his new position as General Manager Europe for Growth Strategy, Kirchhoff worked for several sales platforms such as Immowelt and Groupon. He will use his knowledge to build and manage the sales team in the European target markets.

The start-up was founded in 2018 and has grown so quickly since then that it was classified as a unicorn in April 2022 with a valuation of over one billion US dollars.
