New top management for ordering app Choco

The ordering app Choco is getting reinforcements. Three experienced managers are now working for the start-up.

Kevin Huang, Henri Buchsteiner and Dominikus Kirchhoff will be part of the new top management team at ordering app Choco from June 1. Huang will become the new chief operating officer, Buchsteiner will become chief financial officer and Kirchhoff will lead the European business. They are to use their experience to help develop the start-up further.

Huang was responsible at U.S. food delivery service Doordash for developing products and services that help merchants grow on the platform. Also, Huang was a consultant at McKinsey & Company, worked at Slack Technologies. "I am very excited to join Choco as the company tackles a massive and incredibly complex supply chain problem," Huang expressed.

Henri Buchsteiner previously worked as a vice president in Morgan Stanley's investment banking division and was a founding member and executive director of the flexible private equity fund at the same firm. Choco is still at the beginning of a long journey, the financial expert said. He said he hopes his experience can help guide Choco through its next phase of growth.

Prior to his new position of General Manager Europe for Growth Strategy, Kirchhoff worked for several sales platforms such as Immowelt and Groupon. He will use his knowledge to build and manage the sales team in target European markets.

The startup was founded in 2018 and has since grown so rapidly that it was ranked as a unicorn in April 2022 with a valuation of over $1 billion.
