Noa Corem goes to Upvest

The experienced HR manager is to develop a human resources strategy at the Berlin-based startup.

Berlin-based fintech company Upvest today announced the hiring of Noa Corem as its new VP of People. In her role, she will be responsible for developing and implementing the overall HR strategy, effective immediately. Noa Corem has more than 20 years of experience in HR at tech companies. Prior to joining Upvest, she served as HR Manager at companies including Mythings and Wix.

"I am very excited about my new role at Upvest and couldn't have asked for a better time to start," said Corem. "With the Series B funding that just closed, Upvest is now poised for the next chapter in its growth story."

In the recently closed funding round, Upvest received $42 million, including from U.S. investors Bessemer Ventures, Earlybird, HV and ABN Amro Ventures. By the end of the year, Upvest hopes to employ 150 people.

Upvest enables fintechs to provide their end customers with access to the full range of investment options, from stocks to ETFs to cryptocurrencies. To do so, the startup has developed a fully cloud-based core investment banking system. It says it is one of the few financial institutions in Europe to hold all Bafin licenses for securities trading and crypto custody business
