Noa Corem goes to Upvest

The experienced HR manager is to develop a personnel strategy at the Berlin start-up.

Berlin-based fintech company Upvest today announced the appointment of Noa Corem as its new VP of People. In her role, she will be responsible for the development and implementation of the entire HR strategy with immediate effect. Noa Corem has more than 20 years of experience in HR for tech companies. Before joining Upvest, she worked as HR Manager at companies such as Mythings and Wix.

"I am very excited about my new role at Upvest and couldn't have asked for a better time to start," says Corem. "With the Series B financing just completed, Upvest is now on the verge of the next chapter in its growth story."

In the recently completed financing round, Upvest received 42 million US dollars from US investors Bessemer Ventures, Earlybird, HV and ABN Amro Ventures, among others. Upvest hopes to have 150 employees by the end of the year.

Upvest enables fintechs to provide their end customers with access to the entire range of investment opportunities, from shares and ETFs to cryptocurrencies. To this end, the start-up has developed a fully cloud-based core banking system for investments. By its own account, it is one of the few financial institutions in Europe to hold all Bafin licenses for securities trading and crypto custody business
