Omnidocs takes over officeatwork
The Danish software company Omnidocs, which is backed by Main Capital Partners, has acquired a majority stake in officeatwork AG. officeatwork is a Swiss-based provider of document creation solutions with a strong market position in the DACH region. The acquisition is a further step in Omnidocs' international growth strategy.
Strategic addition with a strong market position
officeatwork was founded in 1975 and offers a comprehensive software suite for professional document creation that is deeply integrated into Microsoft 365. The solutions help companies to create content efficiently, improve content management and ensure a consistent brand identity across proposals, contracts, presentations and emails. The company serves more than 500 customers and is particularly well positioned in Switzerland, with growing sales in Germany, the Netherlands and the USA.
Expansion of Omnidocs' European presence
The acquisition of officeatwork is Omnidocs' fourth acquisition since the start of the partnership with Main Capital Partners. Previously, the company had expanded its international presence with the acquisition of Xential in the Benelux region and Presentation Solutions in the UK. With the integration of officeatwork, Omnidocs is now deepening its presence in the DACH region and creating new conditions for cross-border expansion.
Integration and joint product focus
The teams and product offerings of Omnidocs and officeatwork are to be merged in the first half of 2026. The aim is to use the combined expertise of both companies to drive innovation in document creation and automation and further increase added value for customers.
Buy-and-build strategy with a long-term focus
Main Capital Partners sees the transaction as further evidence of Omnidocs' successful buy-and-build strategy. Through the combination of an established product, a loyal customer base and a strong regional market position, Omnidocs is expected to further expand its role as a leading international platform for document creation and automation.
