The start-up wants to digitize veterinary medicine. It plans to open its first practices in Munich soon.

The Munich-based pet care start-up Filu has raised two million euros in a seed financing round. Munich-based early-stage investor Rivus Capital led the round, with the Auxxo Female Catalys Fund and various business angels also investing. According to the company, the first practices are due to open in Munich soon.

The founding trio of Anna Magdalena Naderer, Christian Köhler and Justus Buche want to establish digitalized veterinary clinics on the market that want to score points with digital processes and video and practice consultations. The practices are located somewhere between emergency clinics, preventive practices and digital care. According to the company, the target group is young pet owners.

The "de novo" strategy, i.e. setting up new practices, is Filu's special approach. Both care and treatment are to be improved with a customer app. "Our goal is to become the primary platform for high-quality pet care," says Christian Köhler.
