Pet care start-up Filu raises two million euros

The start-up wants to digitize veterinary medicine. It plans to open its first practices in Munich soon.
Munich-based pet care startup Filu has raised two million euros in a seed funding round. Munich-based early-stage investor Rivus Capital led the round, while Auxxo Female Catalys Fund and various business angels also invested. According to the company, the first practices are expected to open soon in Munich.
The founding trio of Anna Magdalena Naderer, Christian Köhler and Justus Buche want to establish digitized veterinary clinics on the market, which aim to score points with digital processes and video and practice consultations. The practices are positioned between emergency clinic, preventive practice and digital care. According to the company, the target group is young pet owners.
The "de novo" strategy, i.e. the establishment of new practices of its own, is Filu's special approach here. It aims to use a customer app to improve both care and treatment. "We make it our goal to become the primary platform for high-quality pet care," Christian Köhler formulates the goal.
