PKV fund wants to invest in start-ups
The venture capital fund Heal Capital, founded by the private health insurers, has collected 100 million euros.
The private health insurers are putting a total of more than 100 million euros into the newly established Heal Capital fund. More than twenty companies of the Association of Private Health Insurers have participated. "With our Heal Capital fund, we are driving digital innovations that enable even better medical care for everyone," says PKV CEO Ralf Kantak.
Heal Capital uses its growth capital to invest in young digital healthcare companies in the fields of diagnostics, therapy and infrastructure. So far, the fund has invested in the medical messaging service Siilo, the digital symptom checker Infermedica and in CereGate's neuromodulation software, which is designed to help Parkinson's patients, for example.
