The European technology and logistics scale-up Quivo is entering into a strategic partnership with GWC, the leading logistics service provider in the Middle East and North Africa. The aim of the cooperation is to meet the growing demand for professional e-commerce fulfillment in the Gulf States.

The partnership is sealed by an investment of 5.2 million euros by GWC and marks the beginning of a joint expansion into the markets of Qatar, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Saudi Arabia.

A market with enormous growth potential

The e-commerce market in the Gulf States is one of the fastest growing in the world. According to the Seamless GCC Market Report 2024, the market volume is set to almost double to around 47 billion US dollars by 2029. In Saudi Arabia, the market will grow from the current USD 10 billion to USD 23 billion, in the UAE from USD 12.3 billion to USD 17.2 billion, and in Qatar from USD 1.8 billion to USD 3.5 billion.

With Internet penetration of over 99 percent and a young, digitally oriented population, the Gulf states offer ideal conditions for the expansion of professional fulfillment services.

Win-win for both partners and their customers

Quivo is contributing its software and process expertise in e-commerce fulfillment to the partnership. The company already operates six logistics centers in Austria, Germany, France, the UK and the USA. Companies such as pet tracker manufacturer Tractive use Quivo to successfully scale their business across continents.
