EU cybersecurity agency relies on Frankfurt-based startup to improve threat analysis and cyber risk management

Frankfurt, February 4, 2025 - Frankfurt-based startup QuoIntelligence has secured a contract from the EU Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA) in an open tender process. The four-year contract is worth EUR 1.4 million and covers the provision of cyber threat intelligence services for the European agency.

Strengthening European cyber security

ENISA is responsible for developing and implementing a resilient cyber security strategy in the European Union. By commissioning QuoIntelligence, the agency aims to further expand its capacities in the area of threat intelligence and early warning systems. In particular, the Frankfurt-based company will identify data sources, develop a strategic data collection concept and optimize the EU agency's threat monitoring. The aim is to identify potential cyber risks at an early stage and increase the EU's resilience to digital threats.

AI-supported analyses and human expertise

QuoIntelligence combines artificial intelligence (AI) with human expertise to provide companies and institutions with accurate threat analysis.

According to Lola Rebollo, independent cyber security expert and mentor in the EIC ScaleUP program, the company is "excellently positioned to support ENISA with cyber threat intelligence. QuoIntelligence's expertise will help to mitigate cyber threats at an early stage and strengthen digital security in Europe."

Strategic expansion and planned capital round

The conclusion of the contract with the EU agency comes at a strategically favorable time for QuoIntelligence. The company is planning a financing round for the second half of 2025 to fund further growth. The collaboration with ENISA could further increase interest from potential investors. In 2023, eCAPITAL ENTREPRENEURIAL PARTNERS, Mercurius Private Equity and several private investors, among others, had already invested in QuoIntelligence to drive its expansion.

Growing importance of threat intelligence in Europe

With its Mercury platform, QuoIntelligence offers an automated solution for collecting and analyzing cyber threats. In an increasingly challenging cybersecurity environment, European institutions are increasingly relying on specialized providers to better counter threats from cybercrime and state actors.
