Rembrand secures 23 million US dollars in Series A

With fresh $23 million Series A funding, Rembrand aims to shape the future of non-invasive video advertising and establish itself in the booming CTV market
Palo Alto, January 3, 2025 - Advertising technology startup Rembrand announced that it has received $23 million in a Series A funding round. The round was led by super{set}, with additional investors including The Trade Desk, Naver D2SF and existing partners including BOLD (L'Oréal), Greycroft and others.
Innovations in advertising technology
Rembrand is a provider of in-scene media and virtual product placement that uses AI to seamlessly integrate brands into video content. This technology enables non-invasive but effective placement of brands in professional video content, especially in the booming connected TV (CTV) market.
Support from the advertising industry
The broad participation of well-known players such as advertisers, platforms and media companies underlines Rembrand's importance in the advertising market. CEO Omar Tawakol commented: "This investment will allow us to accelerate our growth, expand our team and further develop our platform to meet the changing needs of advertisers and content providers."
Market opportunities in the CTV sector
With the increasing importance of CTV and the desire for more subtle advertising formats, Rembrand is well positioned to capitalize on the growth of this market. The funding will be invested in further developing the technology and scaling the business model, including new access options such as SaaS licenses and a free open version of AI Studio.
On the startup's homepage, various overlays are shown in active YouTube clips and already give an idea of the advertising market of the future. It will be exciting to see how the technology can be integrated into the European advertising market in compliance with regulations.
