Retraced and r-pac: partnership for full traceability

Retraced and r-pac collaboration provides end-to-end supply chain visibility - from raw material to finished product - and strengthens the relationship between brands and consumers
New York, January 13, 2025 - Supply chain visibility startup Retraced has announced a strategic partnership with global packaging and labeling leader, r-pac. Together, they are creating an end-to-end solution to help fashion companies meet global compliance requirements and boost consumer confidence.
Innovation boost for the fashion industry
By combining Retraced's supply chain data with r-pac's unique product identifiers, the partnership provides a complete link between production and product information. Brands can improve both operational efficiency and sustainability goals. The integration facilitates compliance with key regulations such as the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (UFLPA) in the US and the upcoming Digital Product Passport (DPP) in the EU.
Extensive market opportunities in the retail sector
In the retail sector in particular, there is a strong demand for fast and uncomplicated data solutions that can be seamlessly integrated into existing merchandise management systems. Those who can offer comprehensive, automatically generated information on product sustainability, origin and compliance can tap into enormous market opportunities and a broad customer base. Brick-and-mortar retailers in particular, who are in direct contact with customers, benefit from such a wealth of data. Reliable product information not only promotes consumer confidence, but also provides a basis for innovative shopping experiences - from interactive product labels to personalized consulting solutions.
Moose Knuckles: pilot project for comprehensive transparency
The Canadian label Moose Knuckles is the first company to test the new solution. The brand, which is known for outerwear, already uses r-pacs product labeling for inventory control. In future, Moose Knuckles will use Retraced's data platform to provide detailed information on sustainability and origin directly to the end customer.
We already reported 2021 about a successful seed financing round for Retraced and a lot has happened at the startup in the meantime.
