Rydes extends financing round

At the same time, the start-up announces a cooperation with Solarisbank and Visa.
The Berlin-based mobility start-up Rydes has once again expanded its seed financing round. In addition to previous backers Lufthansa and Forward31, Arabella Venture Capital and business angels Christoph Bornschein (TLGG), Johannes Reck and Javier Suarez (Travelperk) are now also investing.
Rydes, founded in 2021 by René Braun and Martin Miodownik, wants to offer companies a card with which their employees can pay for various mobility services, such as public transport, cabs or bikesharing. For this card, Rydes is cooperating with Solarisbank and Visa, the company has now announced.
"The market for employee mobility is still in its infancy and the business idea - to link B2B offers, use of all means of transport and CO₂ compensation with one card - is a sustainable approach with exemplary character," says Solarisbank COO Jörg Diewald in view of the cooperation.
