Swiss Post wants to make a big investment in Seven Senders

Swiss Post already had a stake in the Berlin logistics start-up in the past.
Swiss Post wants to acquire a "significant competitive influence" on the Berlin logistics start-up Seven Senders. This emerges from an entry in the merger control proceedings of the German Federal Cartel Office, which was first reported on Twitter by e-commerce expert Jochen Krisch.
Swiss Post currently holds a 3.6 percent stake in the company, according to Deutsche-Start-ups writes. Other investors include Digital + Partners and btov Partners, who have already invested in two rounds: first in 2019 with a volume of 16 million euros and then again in April 2021. Twice as much money flowed into the Berlin start-up back then.
Seven Senders has existed since 2015 and was founded by Johannes Plehn and Thomas Hagemann. The company aims to connect retailers, brands and parcel delivery companies throughout Europe via a platform. The aim is to turn local shipping structures into a competitive advantage. A new service from the company also enables customers to have their parcels delivered to pick-up stations and pick-up locations.
