Sennder wants to be Unicorn

The Berlin-based logistics startup is seeking new capital and calling for a billion-dollar valuation.
The Sennder freight forwarding company is looking for further investments, reports German start-ups. In the process, founders David Nothacker, Nicolaus Schefenacker and Julius Köhler are apparently calling for a billion-dollar valuation. Sennder is thus on its way to becoming a unicorn.
In the summer, Sennder merged with French competitor Everoad. Then in September, the startup bought Uber Freight's European freight business. Among other things, Sennder manages truck logistics for large e-commerce providers. The Berlin-based company also handles express deliveries and refrigerated transports.
Sennder was founded in 2015 and specializes in full truck loads. Today, the Berlin-based start-up employs 600 people at seven European locations.
