SevenAccelerator invests in nucao, a sustainable organic chocolate start-up, to strengthen the brand in Germany and boost sales.

Unterföhring, 23.10.2023 - SevenAccelerator has announced a mid-single-digit million euro investment in nu company GmbH, the manufacturer of the chocolate brand nucao. Nucao is a start-up from Leipzig that specializes in organic chocolate products. These are characterized by their vegan-friendliness and environmentally friendly packaging. The products are available both in brick-and-mortar stores and online. SevenAccelerator's media investment is intended to help increase nucao's brand awareness in Germany and promote the sale of its products, while at the same time expanding its distribution channels.

For us, the strategic partnership means both increasing our brand awareness and being able to spread our message for more sustainability in the chocolate segment. With our first TV campaign, we will reach 25 million people who will see the commercial an average of five times.

SevenAccelerator has already proven that it is able to promote consumer-oriented start-ups. Through customized media investments in ProSiebenSat.1's TV and digital channels, brand awareness has been sustainably increased. The focus here is on partnership-based support for the start-ups and close cooperation with their management. The TV and digital advertising campaign for nucao recently began as part of the SevenAccelerator's media wall loan.

We are tapping into nucao's target groups, for whom sustainable consumer behavior as well as transparency and credibility of the companies whose products they buy are important.

Maximilian Jochim, Managing Director of SevenVentures GmbH, emphasizes the effectiveness of TV as an advertising medium for consumer-oriented products and stresses that nucao appeals to target groups that value sustainable consumption and credibility. nucao has also concluded a partnership with REWE that includes the nationwide listing of its products in REWE stores. Further partnerships with drugstores such as dm are being planned in order to increase consumer awareness of vegan chocolate. Point-of-sale campaigns are planned to draw attention to the taste qualities of the products and their added social value.

The SevenAccelerator's investment and the new partnerships demonstrate nucao's commitment to sustainability and quality in the chocolate market. We first reported on SevenAccelerator's media-for-equity investment in Next Gen Foods on Startbase in June. The Series B investment in KoRo from April 23 is also exciting in this context.
