Studio555 raises 4 million euros

The Nordic tech start-up Studio555 has raised 4 million euros in a seed round to develop a playable app that combines interior design with game mechanics. The aim is to establish a completely new category at the interface of creativity, digital design and entertainment.
Investors from the gaming world
The financing round was jointly led by HOF Capital (USA) and Failup Ventures (New York/Helsinki). Particularly noteworthy: participation from industry giants such as
- Timo Soininen (Co-Founder, Small Giant Games),
- Mikko Kodisoja (Co-Founder, Supercell),
- and Riccardo Zacconi (Co-Founder, King, Candy Crush).
With this line-up, the startup not only brings capital on board, but also massive know-how in the field of scalable, playable platforms.

What Studio555 is developing is reminiscent of a mixture of Pinterest in 3D and TikTok - but for interior design.

Studio555 was founded in 2023 by Joel Roos (CEO), a serial founder with over 15 years of experience in the interior and design industry. CTO Stina Larsson and CPO Axel Ullberger previously held leading roles at King and were instrumental in the success of Candy Crush Saga. Together, the team brings together expertise from companies such as King, EA, Rovio and renowned Nordic design studios.
Making interior design playable for everyone
The planned app is set to be launched in 2026 and will enable users to intuitively design digital spaces. This should be possible without any prior knowledge of design or gaming. With a visual, immersive approach, the team wants to lower barriers, encourage creativity and create a platform that appeals to both design enthusiasts and casual gamers.

Team growth and market entry in Europe & USA
The fresh funds will be invested in product development, team building and expansion into key markets. The startup is thus positioning itself as a category creator at the intersection of design, tech and entertainment, with the potential to reach millions of users.
