The Chemnitz-based company in.hub has received seven-figure funding to drive forward the digitalization of machinery in the SME sector. The goal: plug & play solutions for simpler and more cost-effective automation.

Leipzig, August 19, 2024 - Technologiegründerfonds Sachsen (TGFS) has invested a seven-figure sum in Chemnitz-based in.hub GmbH in a Series A financing round. The startup develops complete IIoT systems for self-commissioning that are specially designed for SMEs. The financial injection is intended to simplify the digitalization of processes and machinery for small and medium-sized companies and make it more cost-effective.

Our vision is to establish IIoT in SMEs and make the digitalization of analogue machines possible for all manufacturing companies

Christian Groß, co-founder of in.hub

Plug & play for digitalization

Founded in 2017, in.hub GmbH has developed "siineos", a manufacturer-independent system that consists of hardware and software components and can be flexibly expanded. The solution enables companies to digitize their often still analogue machinery without great effort. Data such as temperature, power consumption and machine running times are recorded in order to increase efficiency, minimize downtime and conserve resources. It is particularly noteworthy that the system works completely offline, even without a cloud connection.

Focus on expansion and product development

The two founders and managing directors Marco Neubert and Christian Groß want to use the new funds to expand sales and further develop the hardware and software solutions. A platform for additional applications is also planned, which will offer customers extended analysis options. In the future, this platform will also be made available to external developers in order to be able to offer additional applications through a commission model.

The team impresses with its experience and commitment in a market with great potential. We look forward to accompanying in.hub on its future path.

Sören Schuster, Managing Director of TGFS

With the financing, in.hub is well positioned to drive digitalization in the SME sector and facilitate the step from classic machine control to networked Industry 4.0.
