Unterföhring, October 2024 - The Female Company is the winner of the SevenVentures Pitch Day 2024 and has secured a media budget of EUR 3 million as well as its own TV commercial. The FemCare start-up impressed the jury with its strong business model and emotional presentation. The aim of the TV commercial is not only to raise awareness of the products, but also to bring the female cycle, still a taboo subject, to the mass market and offer menstruating people sustainable alternatives.

Strong competition and a clear jury vote

The Female Company came out on top against three other finalists - NeoTaste, Plantura and BettaF!sh. The jury, consisting of top-class experts, particularly praised the personal and emotional approach of founder Ann-Sophie Claus as well as the company's scalable business model.

Founded in 2018 by Ann-Sophie Claus and Sinja Stadelmaier, The Female Company aims to break the taboos surrounding menstruation and support women with sustainable hygiene products such as organic tampons and period underwear. The company will now use the media budget it has won to increase awareness of its products on TV and further establish itself in German-speaking countries.

The road to the final

In the semi-finals, The Female Company prevailed against Plantura, a young company specializing in environmentally friendly plant care. The Female Company made it to the final with a vote of 4:1. The jury emphasized that the topic of menstruation and the associated products are highly relevant and have the potential to change the mass market.
