TIN Capital receives a further 15 million euros for European cybersecurity fund

Focus on digital resilience. New capital will be used to specifically support European scale-ups in the field of cyber security
Amsterdam/The Hague, May 12, 2025 - TIN Capital secures another 15 million euros for its European Cyber Tech Fund V. The investment comes from a group of Dutch investors, including public players such as Invest-NL, InnovationQuarter and ROM Regio Utrecht, as well as several private investors and family offices. The fund has a target volume of over 80 million euros and is expected to close in the coming months.
Promoting Europe's independent cyber security now
The new funds are intended to drive the development of powerful European cyber security companies.
Europe must no longer hesitate when it comes to strategic technologies
Johan Stins, Invest-NL
According to those involved, the geopolitical situation and growing threats in the digital space make it clear that investment in European solutions is needed - for more technological sovereignty and digital resilience.
Regional strength meets European perspective
In addition to capital, the three public investors are also providing strategic impetus: InnovationQuarter, for example, is also strengthening the security industry in Zuid-Holland through its investment, while ROM Regio Utrecht points to the region's position as an innovation hub.
Our involvement contributes to the further development of a strong cybersecurity cluster.
Jeffrey Williams, ROM Regio Utrecht
TIN Capital has been investing exclusively in cybersecurity since 2018 and sees the investment as confirmation of its own strategy. "With our new fund, we are focusing on high-growth European scale-ups with global potential," says Managing Partner Michael Lucassen. Previous investments include Eye Security, BreachLock and EclecticIQ.
