Swedish app Tiptapp receives funding to expand its reach in Berlin and launch targeted marketing campaigns

Berlin, September 4, 2024 - Swedish app Tiptapp has secured €1 million in funding to expand its presence in Berlin and Germany. The investment comes from Gilion as a non-dilutive growth loan. With the fresh capital, Tiptapp plans to significantly increase its reach in Berlin and further expand its offering.

Tiptapp connects users who need help with transportation, recycling or the delivery of items with people who have space in their vehicles. The app thus helps to avoid unnecessary car journeys and reduce CO2 emissions. The new funding will be invested in targeted marketing campaigns in Berlin to raise awareness of the brand and attract more users.

1.27 million pick-ups brokered

Tiptapp works successfully in Berlin with Berliner Stadtreinigungsbetriebe (BSR) to provide simple and environmentally friendly waste disposal. The partnership has already proven its worth and is to be expanded to other cities.

Since its foundation in 2016, Tiptapp has arranged over 1.27 million collections across Europe and saved around 51 tons of CO2 emissions by reducing car journeys. The company focuses on technological innovation and sustainability and now wants to set new standards in Berlin too.
