Topi strengthens its team

The Berlin-based start-up has won over two experienced experts.
Nicky Wrightson and Blanca Garcia Gil are now part of the team at Berlin-based start-up Topi. Both previously worked for companies such as the BBC, the Financial Times or J.P. Morgan.
Wrightson will be "Head of Engineering"; she is considered an expert in so-called microservice architectures. Applications are divided into many individual components. Such a modular structure allows them to remain functional if a part or a team of developers is replaced. Gil, who is also an expert in microservices, is expected to lead and further expand the data analytics division.
Topi's platform lets companies borrow electronic devices instead of buying them for their employees. This would allow companies to save time managing devices. The concept would also drive the transition to a circular economy, the startup said. Just at the end of August, the startup led by its founders Estelle Merle and Charlotte Pallua raised $45 million.
"We're thrilled to have two more top-tier engineers join our outstanding engineering team," says co-founder Pallua. Since launching last year, Topi says it has grown to 35 employees.
