YOU(th) Health Tech secures USD 4.5 million for preventive healthcare solutions

The Berlin-based digital health startup YOU(th) Health Tech has closed a financing round of 4.5 million US dollars. The round was led by Callisto Health, with other investors including caesar, adesso Ventures, Antler, Moonstone and 1024 Ventures. Prominent business angels such as Jean-Charles Samuelian (Alan) and Patrick Andrae (HomeToGo) also participated.

Prevention via smartphones

YOU(th) transforms smartphones into intelligent screening tools that analyze over 50 digital biomarkers from more than ten organ systems in less than two minutes. With the help of facial videos, voice recordings, skin and eye photos, step and typing patterns, early indications of health risks can be identified. All without additional hardware, needles or clinic visits.

Studies show that 60% of people forgo preventive medical check-ups due to high costs, long waiting times or complicated equipment. YOU(th) reduces these frictions and enables frequent, simple health checks for heart, lung, metabolism, cognitive abilities, skin and mental health.

Rapid market penetration

The platform has already concluded over 20 B2B2C contracts with clinics and health insurance companies. The startup intends to use the funding to accelerate its product development and expand its team of engineers, data scientists and medical researchers.

The international founding team combines experience in machine learning, digital health and clinical processes: COO Johannes Kraus previously built an AI marketplace for health insurers, CTO Yuriy Dushin is a biostatistician with publications on digital biomarkers in Nature.
