Zasta receives 60 million euro loan

The capital will fund the tax app's new feature that allows users to receive 75 percent of their tax refund immediately.
Tax app Zasta will receive a 60 million euro line of credit from Vereinigte Volksbank, according to Finance Forward reports. This will allow the startup to finance a new offering. In the future, Zasta customers will receive an immediate tax payout of 75 percent of the calculated tax refund.
"This will solve our users' biggest pain point and help millions of workers in the future get a quick cash injection," founder Michael Potstada wrote on Linkedin. "Especially in times of recession and inflation, many people can use this well," said the founder.
Founded in 2017, the tax preparation platform helps users prepare their tax returns digitally. The fintech has raised around €4.3 million so far. The investors involved include the investor Anyon, business angel Uwe Schimmelschmidt and Mittelständische Beteiligungsgesellschaft MV.
