12 million investment for GoodBytz

Hamburg-based foodtech start-up GoodBytz secures 12 million euros in investment from Oyster Bay Venture Capital and the Block Group. The fully automated robotic kitchen assistants promise high-quality, efficient preparation of healthy meals
Hamburg, October 24, 2023 - Hamburg-based foodtech startup GoodBytz recently announced an investment of 12 million euros in its Series A financing round. The main investors are Oyster Bay Venture Capital and the Block Group. This move comes despite the tense economic situation in Germany.
Founded in 2021 by Dr. Hendrik Susemihl (CEO), Kevin Deutmarg (COO) and Philipp von Stürmer (CTO), the Hamburg-based startup GoodBytz offers robotic kitchen assistants that use high-quality ingredients and prepare healthy, high-quality meals. The assistants are used in various sectors, including restaurants, delivery service kitchens and care facilities. These assistants have proven popular and have been voted among the top 15 percent of Lieferando restaurants in Germany.

Christoph Miller, founding partner of Oyster Bay, emphasizes the potential of robotics in professional kitchens. The Block Group, an established family business, is also investing in GoodBytz. Stephan von Bülow, CEO of the Block Group, emphasizes GoodBytz's innovative solution, which makes it possible to prepare dishes quickly and reliably with fresh ingredients.
A total of 12 million euros will be invested in the start-up, which was founded in 2021. The goal is to achieve the production of over 100 robotic kitchen assistants by 2025 and to start internationalization next year, says Hendrik Susemihl, CEO of GoodBytz.

The Robotic Kitchen Assistants from GoodBytz are characterized by precision and efficiency. They can prepare 150 meals per hour and 3000 meals per day to the highest quality, resulting in considerable cost savings. The menu of the GoodBytz Robotic Kitchen Assistant is extremely diverse, ranging from ramen and salads to desserts. Customers can easily customize their dishes without the need for programming skills.
Goal: healthy nutrition through robotics
GoodBytz's mission goes beyond normal food offerings - the aim is to make healthy eating accessible to everyone through robotics. The start-up is planning continuous growth and the opening of a flagship store in Hamburg in early 2024. GoodBytz has already won well-known customers such as Sodexo and is influencing the way people eat. The 12 million investment from Oyster Bay and Block Food AG will accelerate the expansion.
