Würzburg, Germany, April 18, 2024 - German startup AIPERIA, specialized in sustainability solutions, has closed a €7.5 million Series A financing round. Led by ETF Partners and LBBW Venture Capital and supported by Earlybird Venture Capital, this investment will be used to accelerate the development and distribution of its AI-based software solution.

Improved demand planning

AIPERIA's platform aims to reduce food waste in the retail sector by enabling better demand planning for retailers and suppliers of fresh produce. With 500% year-on-year growth and an expanded focus on the UK and EU markets, the company is addressing a €10 billion market.

AIPERIA's technology is based on more than a decade of research and uses artificial intelligence to optimize demand planning. By taking into account over 150 influencing factors, the solution can reduce food waste by an average of 30%, increase profits by 4% and reduce planning time by 90%.

It's about changing supply chains for the better, increasing efficiency and boosting profits for retailers and suppliers alike.

Over the past three years, we have established ourselves as the leading planning solution for fresh food in the German-speaking market.

In line with the political agenda

AIPERIA's solution comes at a time when political pressure to reduce food waste in Europe is growing and companies are increasingly looking for accurate forecasting to improve their profit margins while making a positive environmental impact.

We can achieve the greatest economic and environmental impact if food does not have to be produced at the beginning of the supply chain in the first place
