The management consultancy Deloitte has honored as many as 50 companies. Among them are a number of well-known start-ups.

Twelve times Berlin, seven times Munich and four times Hamburg: the management consultancy Deloitte has presented its "Technology Fast 50 Award". Many of the tech companies, whose average percentage growth in turnover over the last four years served as the basis, come from the major start-up cities. However, by no means all of the award winners are also start-ups.

The winner - and therefore the fastest growing company - is IoT Venture GmbH from Darmstadt. Among other things, the company offers GPS tracking technology that can be used to connect your own bike or pet via the internet. This allows users to find out where their bike is currently located or check their dog's health data.

Healthtech Climedo came in second place. The start-up's platform enables the electronic collection of data for clinical studies in compliance with data protection regulations. Study participants keep an electronic patient diary in which they record their symptoms. Climedo enables companies to conduct clinical trials more efficiently and cost-effectively. According to the start-up, its solution has been used in around 160 German health authorities to track cases since the start of the coronavirus pandemic and has reduced the manual workload there by up to 80%. "With this award, we see our mission to enable better healthcare confirmed and are all the more motivated to support even more stakeholders in conducting patient-oriented clinical trials with our digital technologies," says co-founder Veronika Schweighart.

Third place went to Nect from Hamburg. Benny Bennet Jürgens and Carlo Ulbrich founded the IT start-up in 2017. Among other things, Nect offers an online identification process that, according to the start-up, is used by ADAC, Barmer Krankenkasse and Telekom Deutschland, among others. Nect also offers an option for digital signatures and a digital ID card.

"We have been honoring innovative and fast-growing companies for 20 years now and every year I am amazed at how much creativity there is in Germany. The award winners show how it is possible to pick up on current trends and turn them into viable business models," explains Oliver Salzmann, Managing Director of Deloitte KI GmbH.
