These are the fastest growing tech companies

The management consultancy Deloitte has awarded no less than 50 companies. Among them are a number of well-known start-ups.

Twelve times Berlin, seven times Munich and four times Hamburg: The management consultancy Deloitte has presented its "Technology Fast 50 Award". Many of the tech companies, whose average percentage revenue growth over the past four years served as the basis, come from the major startup cities. But by no means all of the award winners are also startups.

The winner - and thus the fastest-growing company - is IoT Venture GmbH from Darmstadt. Among other things, the company offers GPS tracking technology that can be used to connect one's own bicycle or even one's own pet via the Internet. In this way, users can find out where their bike is at any given moment or check their dog's health data.

Second place went to the healthtech Climedo. The start-up's platform enables data to be collected electronically for clinical studies in compliance with data protection regulations. In the process, study participants keep an electronic patient diary in which they state their symptoms. With Climedo, companies can thus conduct more efficient and less expensive clinical studies. According to the start-up, its solution has been used for case tracking in around 160 German health offices since the start of the Corona pandemic, where it has reduced manual workload by up to 80 percent. "With this award, we see ourselves confirmed in our mission to enable better healthcare and are all the more motivated to support even more players in conducting patient-oriented clinical trials with our digital technologies," says co-founder Veronika Schweighart.

Third place went to Nect from Hamburg. Benny Bennet Jürgens and Carlo Ulbrich founded the IT start-up in 2017. Among other things, Nect offers an online identification procedure, which, according to the start-up, is used by ADAC, Barmer Krankenkasse and Telekom Deutschland, among others. In addition, Nect offers a digital signature option and a digital ID card.

"For 20 years now, we have been awarding prizes to innovative and high-growth companies, and every year I am thrilled to see how much creativity there is in Germany. The award winners show how it is possible to pick up on current trends and turn them into viable business models," explains Oliver Salzmann, Managing Director of Deloitte KI GmbH.
