Application round for the Female Founders Award starts

The American Chamber of Commerce in Germany is accepting applications until February twelfth.

Female founders have until February twelfth to apply to the American Chamber of Commerce in Germany (Amcham) for the Female Founders Award 2023 or be nominated by others.

The award has been given since 2019 to help female founders become more visible and network better. This year, female founders in technology and engineering are particularly encouraged to apply. However, founding in the fields is not a requirement.

Women can apply themselves, but other companies and individuals can also suggest suitable candidates. The two winners will then be notified in March, and the awards ceremony will take place in Berlin on April 26. To win, you have to be the (co-)founder of a start-up that is no more than ten years old and has been successfully positioned on the market for two to five years. Sales in the past year should be at least 100,000 euros, healthy growth and a growing customer base are also prerequisites. In addition, the independent Amcham jury values solid financing and clear vision for the next five years.

Amcham describes itself as the voice of transatlantic business. The winners will gain access to the Amcham network through a one-year membership. They also become part of the Female Leaders platform, which connects female founders.
