Application round for the Female Founders Award starts

The American Chamber of Commerce in Germany is accepting applications until February 12th.

Female founders can apply to the American Chamber of Commerce in Germany (Amcham) for the Female Founders Award 2023 or be nominated by others until February 12th.

The prize has been awarded since 2019 to make female founders more visible and improve their networking. This year, female founders in the fields of technology and engineering are particularly encouraged to apply. However, a start-up in these fields is not a prerequisite.

Women can apply themselves, but other companies and individuals can also nominate suitable candidates. The two winners will be notified in March and the award ceremony will take place in Berlin on April 26. To win, you must be the (co-)founder of a start-up that is no more than ten years old and has been successfully positioned on the market for two to five years. Turnover in the past year should be at least 100,000 euros, healthy growth and a growing customer base are also prerequisites. In addition, the independent Amcham jury attaches importance to solid financing and a clear vision for the next five years.

Amcham describes itself as the voice of the transatlantic economy. The winners receive access to the Amcham network through a one-year membership. They also become part of the Female Leaders Platform, which connects female founders with each other.
