"Digital pope" joins mobility start-up

M-Tribes successfully completes its seed funding round. The value of the start-up increases to ten million euros.
The Hamburg-based start-up M-Tribes has successfully completed its seed funding. The investment was led by Hamburg's "digital pope" and founder of digital agency SinnerSchrader, Matthias Schrader. The start-up is now said to be worth ten million euros. The start-up was previously self-financed.
M-Tribes offers a platform that supports transportation companies worldwide in setting up mobility, sharing and delivery services. Its customers include corporations such as BMW and EWE, small and medium-sized transport companies such as Kurier24, as well as international start-ups such as VanOnGo.
The founders see advantages on two levels. "On the one hand, we have become technically scalable. This means that we can generate all the technology that a transport company needs to operate fully automatically at the touch of a button," says Patrick Arle, founder and CEO of M-Tribes. "On the other hand, Covid-19 has triggered a real boom in delivery services and a renaissance in personal mobility." The start-up intends to use the funding to expand its platform.
