FaceUp receives USD 3 million

FaceUp raises USD 3 million to further expand its anonymous reporting platform and strengthen its international presence
Prague, October 10, 2024 - HR startup FaceUp has raised USD 3 million in a late-seed funding round to fuel its international expansion and further develop its platform. The platform, which enables anonymous reporting of harassment, fraud and other violations, aims to promote a "speak-up" culture in companies and educational institutions worldwide.
We didn't see whistleblowing as a compliance hurdle, but as a highly effective tool for employee wellbeing and protecting corporate reputation.
David Špunar, co-founder and COO of FaceUp
The financing round was supported by Reflex Capital, Tilia Impact Ventures and the European Investment Fund. The funds will be used in particular for expansion in the USA, Latin America and the Middle East. FaceUp also plans to introduce new features, including an AI assistant, a "team temperature measurement", anonymous Q&A options for meetings and an expansion of the survey functions.
From anti-bullying platform to global SaaS solution
FaceUp was originally developed as a non-profit anti-bullying platform for schools, but has evolved into a successful SaaS company that now supports more than 3,360 organizations in over 60 countries. The platform combines anonymous reporting capabilities with a comprehensive case management system and live hotlines to help organizations openly address grievances.
The FaceUp team has managed to turn a non-profit initiative for schools into a profitable business without abandoning the original mission of social engagement. We are convinced that this is not a 'nice-to-have' product, but an indispensable tool of great importance for businesses and government agencies.
Ondřej Fryc, founder of Reflex Capital
A culture of silence in companies can lead to significant problems such as harassment, corruption or security risks. FaceUp aims to create a culture where employees can report issues safely and anonymously through protected whistleblowing mechanisms. Studies show that companies with a positive corporate culture have 78% less employee turnover.
Expansion and product development
FaceUp plans to use the capital to expand its activities in new markets such as the USA and the Middle East and to add important functions to the platform that will help companies to tackle grievances more quickly and efficiently. In particular, the planned integration of AI and a survey extension should offer HR teams more flexibility in collecting employee feedback.
