Boomerang secures 1.9 million euros in seed financing

Boomerang receives € 1.9 million in seed financing round - more than € 850,000 via crowdinvesting! Over 400 investors support the Hamburg-based startup in implementing more environmentally friendly shipping

Hamburg, August 21, 2024 - Hamburg-based startup Boomerang, which develops sustainable reusable systems for shipping, has raised €1.9 million in a new financing round. This brings the total volume of investments received to date to around 3 million euros. Fresh funds from the current seed round have now been added to the existing financing of 1.1 million euros from 2022 and 2023.

Successful crowd investing

The success via the Companisto crowdinvesting platform is particularly noteworthy: in just three months, over EUR 850,000 was raised from more than 400 investors - significantly exceeding the original target of EUR 750,000. Two additional investors also participated in the round.

Founded in 2022, the company offers end-to-end logistics solutions and operates a platform for reusable systems. Its current 60 customers include two large German companies with an annual turnover of over 1 billion euros. The new capital will be invested primarily in the expansion of sales, IT and product development. Boomerang® is planning a further capital increase of 500,000 euros by the end of the year.

The market shows that reusable is a relevant and promising business model. We will continue to expand Boomerang® as the market leader.
