EnBW on course for promotion

Attention early-stage founders: EnBW has two new cooperation offers for start-ups, including a start-up scholarship and a competition with 3,000 euros in prize money.

The Innovation Lab of the energy supplier EnBW has two new cooperation offers for start-ups: the EnBW start-up scholarship and the EnBW Innovation Challenge. Both are primarily aimed at start-ups in the early phase: "The earlier we accompany and support the teams, the greater their chance of success - which ultimately benefits everyone involved," says Jürgen Stein, Head of Innovation at EnBW.

The start-up scholarship provides support for six to twelve months, and two more scholarships are to be awarded this year, each with a team of three people. EnBW pays 2,500 euros per person per month, so "we create financial security for the teams so that they can concentrate fully on the further development of their idea," explains Florian Fichter, Head of Incubation at EnBW. The aim is to get to know each other and explore the possibilities. Because: "Not every good idea has a profitable and viable business case," says Fichter.

The Innovation Challenge is a competition that takes place in April. Ideas for which a business model already exists can be submitted until March 23. During the challenge, the ideas will be further refined and on April 9, the jury will decide who has won. The prize money amounts to 3,000 euros and the opportunity to receive further support through the start-up grant.
