Immerse yourself in the world of Tomorrow Things and find out how the Bonn-based startup not only creates digital twins in record time, but also designs the operating system for machines on the internet.

Bonn, March 13, 2024 - The Bonn-based AI startup Tomorrow Things has successfully completed a seed financing round of 1.5 million euros. The funds will be used to drive forward the development of an AI-based operating system for machines on the internet. The financing round was led by German investors High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF) and neoteq ventures, with participation from Notion Capital, Robin Capital and several business angels.

Tomorrow Things revolutionizes digital twins in minutes instead of days

The Tomorrow Things solution, called "Cloud Connect", is revolutionizing the digitalization of machines in the manufacturing industry. By creating digital twins of machines in just a few minutes, it enables cost savings of up to 90 percent compared to conventional, time-consuming processes.

High costs for system integrators and the complex operation of services on cloud infrastructures are slowing down digitalization.

Johannes Dierkes, Investment Manager at High-Tech Gründerfonds

The Bonn-based start-up, consisting of founders Oliver Habisch, Dr. Christian Dierolf, Ankur Srivastava and Marcel Zimmerling, has more than ten years of experience in AI-supported automation. In the past, they have already been able to increase the process stability of industrial plants and the energy efficiency of buildings by more than 20 percent.

The software as a service (SaaS) called "Cloud Connect" creates digital twins of machines that represent virtual real-time replicas of physical assets. These digital twins enable operators to simulate various scenarios, optimize production lines and make informed decisions without affecting real operations.

The operating system for machines on the internet

The Tomorrow Things platform offers an alternative to conventional open source integration tools. AI-generated blueprints enable digitalization and integration at the touch of a button. The manual onboarding process of machine interfaces, which was previously time-consuming and error-prone, is revolutionized by the automated, simplified and standardized solution from Tomorrow Things.

We develop the operating system for machines on the Internet. We are the AppStore for asset blueprints...

Oliver Habisch, CEO and co-founder of Tomorrow Things

Digital Twins, as virtual images of physical machines, not only offer optimization possibilities, but also secure bidirectional data transfer between machines and Internet applications. AI-supported control strategies can be created centrally and operated locally on the machine, resulting in optimized target values in the machine control system.

Today, we focus on our core business and combine a Digital Twin from Tomorrow Things as standard ex works.

Timo Günzel, Chief Technology Officer of Bole Intelligent Machinery Co, Ltd

The Tomorrow Things platform is now available on the website tomorrowthings.com and interested customers can sign up for the AI start-up's service. Timo Günzel, Chief Technology Officer of Bole Intelligent Machinery Co, Ltd, has already been able to test the platform in closed beta and is impressed. With the successful seed financing, Tomorrow Things sees itself in a strong position to further advance the development of its AI-supported operating system and contribute to cost-efficient and sustainable digitalization in the manufacturing industry.
