acto with 3.7 million euros in seed financing
Marc Nemitz | 15.03.2024With seed funding of 3.7 million euros, the B2B AI start-up acto is setting standards in the German SME sector. The AI software offers sales employees direct recommendations for action and prioritizes customer interactions for greater efficiency.
Paderborn, March 15, 2024 - German software startup acto secures seed funding of EUR 3.7 million, led by lead investors 468 Capital and Cusp Capital. The existing investor adesso ventures is also participating again. The investment will enable acto to further develop its AI-based decision-making software in sales and to establish its own sales organization.
Support for sales decisions
acto addresses a key problem in the SME sector by helping companies to make better and proactive sales decisions that lead to increased sales. acto's AI software combines internal (e.g. ERP and CRM) and external data sources to provide sales staff with customer-related recommendations for action. Through smart workflows and algorithms, acto prioritizes the most relevant customer appointments, leading to a more efficient use of sales capacities.
Thanks to our AI, sales employees receive direct recommendations for action and are supported with smart workflows.
Pascal Salmen, Co-Founder of acto
acto's AI is proving to be relevant in times of a shortage of skilled sales staff. It recognizes anomalies, risks and opportunities in customer data. According to Pascal Salmen, 80 percent of the insights generated in sales today go unnoticed due to inefficient processes. As a result, B2B companies lose up to 15 percent of their turnover per year.
Medium-sized companies such as Rhenus Logistics and Schäfer Shop are already relying on AI from acto. Joachim Bach, VP Sales International at Schäfer Shop, emphasizes the time saved by the AI analyses and automation.
Our result: more productivity thanks to less analysis time and more time with the right customers.
Joachim Bach, VP Sales International at Schäfer Shop
Investors such as 468 Capital and Cusp Capital are convinced of the maturity of the product. Matthias Müller, Partner at Cusp Capital, explains:"acto is well positioned to completely change the way German SMEs use their data." The investment will be used to further develop the AI technology and build up the sales organization in order to establish acto as a leading provider of decision intelligence. The seed financing was provided in equal parts by 468 Capital and Cusp Capital in the lead. Other investors such as another.vc and business angels, including Benedikt Franke (Planetly) and Niklas Hellemann (SoSafe), also participated.
