Garrett Camp is now investing in the Hessian start-up with his investment company Expa. Meanwhile, Wingcopter is already planning its next round of financing.

Back in August, the Hessian drone start-up Wingcopter concluded a deal with the leading air rescue company in the USA, Air Methods. Now Uber inventor Garrett Camp has invested in the start-up with his investment company Expa. Wingcopter did not initially disclose the amount of the investment.

"We are delighted to be working with Expa and Garrett, who bring a brilliant network and years of experience in building and globally scaling companies that disrupt entire industries," says Tom Plümmer, CEO and co-founder of Wingcopter. His start-up is currently preparing for its Series B financing round.

New investor Garrett Camp is also euphoric: "Just as Uber has revolutionized the way people get from A to B, Wingcopter offers the same innovation for the transportation of goods, including much-needed medicine and medical supplies, groceries or freshly prepared meals, and even has the potential to automate e-commerce."
