The start-up has focused on summarizing books. This is apparently attracting more and more users.

The non-fiction start-up based in Berlin has presented its figures for 2019. According to the figures, the start-up increased its turnover to 33 million euros, 13 million euros more than in the previous year. But is that a reason to celebrate? The young company's loss has also increased. According to the annual report, the net loss for the year amounted to ten million euros, one million euros more than in 2018.

The start-up Blinkist earns its money by summarizing non-fiction books. In a smartphone app, users should be able to grasp the content in just a few minutes without having to trawl through hundreds of pages, only a fraction of which may really interest them. The company officially has 4500 books on offer and currently has 17 million registered users.
