Another 1.5 million euros for Aeditive

The start-up from Norderstedt produces ready-to-build concrete parts using a 3D printer. The Glatthaar Group would like to use the technology.

According to media reports, Aeditive has received a further 1.5 million euros from two strategic investors, including the Glatthaar Group. Together, the manufacturer of prefabricated basements and floor slabs and the start-up want to find further areas of application for 3D concrete printing.

Glatthaar had already invested in Aeditive in June. In its seed financing round, the start-up from Norderstedt has now raised a total of 7.5 million euros. Other investors included Bitstone Capital, VC Atlantic Labs and several business angels.

Founded in 2019 by Alexander Türk, Hendrik Lindemann, Roman Gerbers and Niklas Nolte, the start-up produces concrete parts using a 3D printer. The parts are planned with the help of proprietary software and are ready for construction after printing. They do not require any additional formwork. The process is largely automated and is designed to save CO2. In this way, Aeditive wants to make concrete construction fit for the future and counteract the shortage of skilled workers.
