We are a team of colleagues based in Berlin and Stuttgart. We bring together broad capital market expertise and extensive contacts in the nationwide startup scene, politics and abroad. We have made it our mission to develop and offer new innovative services that help startups find the right partners and facilitate their financing process.

Both project partners were already heavily involved in the startup ecosystem before Startbase, dealing with venture capital, organizing pitching events, building resilient networks or influencing political frameworks that favor the growth of startups.

Our focus is on German startups. We want foreign investors or potential cooperation partners to pay more attention to the German startup ecosystem and its potential. In this way, we offer them easy access. So, yes, Startbase is an international platform.

Anyone who is part of the German startup ecosystem or is interested in it! Our platform is aimed at employees, managers, journalists, founders, investors and anyone else who is involved with startups.

We are targeting innovative, growth-oriented and scalable companies that are either already founded in Germany, are planning to be founded in Germany or have a branch in Germany. Start-up companies are usually, but do not have to be younger than 10 years (exceptions are possible). Your founders should still have a significant stake in the company. We reserve the right to reject company profiles if they do not meet our criteria. If we have any questions, we will get in touch with you.

Startbase also addresses investors, corporations and other meaningful ecosystem partners from Germany and abroad.

First of all, the startup ecosystem is our focus, so it should also be relevant to you. Investors aim to invest in startups and pursue activities that help them to do so.

Companies show a commitment to the ecosystem, i.e. they provide offers and services targeting startups, organize events, share their knowledge or look for innovative products, services and business models.

We don't like companies that use our platform to have their ads placed and only offer advertising content ;). We also don't like spam.

Therefore, we reserve the right to reject company profiles if they do not match our criteria or target groups. If you have any questions, we will get in touch with you.

No, you cannot raise capital directly on Startbase. We are not an investment platform. However, our features will definitely help you attract attention and find capital.

You cannot invest directly in companies on Startbase. Our platform is not an investment platform and we do not offer brokerage services. We see ourselves as a platform and information service. Our goal is to simplify the way companies and people who care about each other are found and brought together.

We have migrated all your information on VentureZphere to Startbase. You can check your new profile and update it with your old login details.

There will be a transition period where both platforms, Startbase and VentureZphere, will be online. Once we have successfully completed the migration to Startbase, we will take VentureZphere offline.

No, VentureZphere will be taken offline as soon as we have successfully completed the migration to Startbase. There will only be Startbase as our new platform.

To create a company profile, you must first register. Then log in, go to "My companies" and add a new company. Fill in the information step by step and complete your profile in the editor.

Enter as much information as possible. The more you share, the better your company profile will rank in our galleries and searches.

Claimed profiles signal that they are owned and managed by people who actually work at the company. We verify this by checking that your email address (e.g. m.muster@testfirma.de) matches your company's email domain (@testfirma.de).

If your company already has a profile on Startbase but is not managed by the company itself, you can claim it at any time. Go to the company profile and click on "Is this your company? Follow the instructions to claim the company.

Only "Admins" and authorized team members can edit and update your company profile. If you are a team member, please contact the admin of your company who can allow you to edit the profile. Go to the "Editor" in your company profile to see who the admin is.

In order to appear as a team member in a company's profile, each team member must be registered on Startbase with their company email address. We assign each team member to the respective company profile by their e-mail.

Admins and authorized team members can then decide whether they appear in the company profile and define their editing rights in the "Editor".

There may be various reasons for this:

1. You are not assigned to a company profile.
2. You are assigned to a company profile, but you are not an admin or you do not have admin rights. Then contact the admin of your company. You can find the name by clicking on the "Editor" tab in your company profile.
3. It's our fault - there could be a mistake. If so, please get in touch with us by sending an email to support@startbase.de

Log in first. Click on your name in the top right corner of Startbase, go to "Account settings". Now simply set a new password.

To delete your user account, please send us an e-mailansupport@startbase.de with your registered e-mail address and let us know that you want to delete your account. We will then delete all data. You will be notified by e-mail as soon as all your data has left our system.

Our goal is to provide every Startbase visitor with a qualitative overview and access to the German startup ecosystem. That's why our team of analysts evaluates every company profile. If startups fulfill the following criteria

• Validated team members
• Registered in a German commercial register
• Headquarters in Germany
• Scalable business model
• Innovative business model
• The founders are still involved
• The founders still hold shares

... they receive the status "qualified". If we have any questions, we can get in touch with them.

Startups that don't meet all of the above criteria will still appear in our galleries and searches. You could be a match too!

Quality Score: How well maintained is your profile - do you have up-to-date pictures, team members, contact information, etc.? Is your profile "claimed" and/or "qualified"? Popularity Score: How often users interact with you and your profile - watchlist, etc. Activity Score: How active you are on the Startbase - user logins, profile updates, press releases, events, etc. Startbase score: Mix of all scores! It's worth working for your scores: more visibility, more fame, more trust!

Please send us an email with your registered email address to support@startbase.de and indicate that you would like a company profile to be removed from our platform. We will then delete all information.
