The marketing start-up intends to use the money to finalize its SaaS offering and launch it on the market in April.

The marketing start-up Contentpepper has raised 1.3 million euros in a financing round. 590,000 euros came from existing investors, while the remaining money was raised via the crowdfunding platform Companisto.

The Münster-based company is receiving the capital at a time when it wants to fundamentally change its offering. Contentpepper has been operating an enterprise marketing platform since 2013. This enables small and medium-sized companies to display and manage their marketing content via the web, newsletters and social media. With the help of the financing round, Contentpepper also wants to market the offering as software-as-a-service in future, via the cloud and supported by AI, so that companies can receive tailored suggestions for their marketing activities.

The SaaS solution has already gone through a beta phase and is set to go live in April. According to the company, 50 companies have already registered their interest. "With our Software-as-a-Service solution, we are tackling a typical problem faced by German SMEs," says Managing Director Marc Czieslick.
