1.5 million euros for Handly

The handyman start-up completes its pre-seed financing round and now wants to integrate payment functions into its platform.
The Berlin-based handyman start-up Handly has successfully completed its pre-seed round and raised 1.5 million euros. This is reported by Tech EU. Venture capitalist The Delta is leading the round, with four prominent founders also participating as business angels: Patrick Andrä (Hometogo), Lucas Cranach (One Football), Jon Oringer (Shutterstock) and Julian Teicke (Wefox).
In the long term, Handly plans to digitize the entire craftsmen's market, which the start-up estimates at five trillion euros worldwide. The Berlin-based company's first product is an appointment booking platform for tradespeople, which is designed to help them plan more efficiently. According to Handly, 300 companies are already using this platform.
The start-up was founded by Bastian Meyer and Klaas Krüger. The two now want to use the money to quickly integrate payment functions and factoring services into their platform. "One of the biggest problems for small companies is payment processing and payment management," says CEO Meyer: "We have recognized that this is a huge, untapped market opportunity to support the digitalization of the entire process from start to finish."
