1.5 million euros for Handly

The artisan startup closes its pre-seed funding round and is now looking to integrate payment features into its platform.
Berlin-based artisan startup Handly has successfully completed its pre-seed round, raising €1.5 million. It reports that Tech EU. Venture capitalist The Delta is leading the round, and four prominent founders are also participating as business angels: Patrick Andrä (Hometogo), Lucas Cranach (One Football), Jon Oringer (Shutterstock) and Julian Teicke (Wefox).
Handly plans to digitize the entire craftsman market in the long term, which the startup estimates at five trillion euros worldwide. The Berlin-based company's first product is an appointment booking platform for craft businesses, which it hopes will enable them to plan more efficiently. So far, 300 companies are using the platform, Handly said.
The start-up was founded by Bastian Meyer and Klaas Krüger. With the money, the two now want to quickly integrate payment functions and factoring services into their platform in particular. "One of the biggest problems for small businesses is payment processing and management," says CEO Meyer: "We realized that this is a huge untapped market opportunity to help digitize the entire process from start to finish."
