Thilo Hardt and Tony Twyman pursue their passion of developing games with their start-up. Now they are receiving capital.

Berlin-based game developer Industrial Technology and Witchcraft has closed a seed financing round of 1.68 million euros. High-Tech Gründerfonds, London-based venture capital firm DN Capital and BLN Capital, the family office of Kolibri Games founders Daniel Stammler, Oliver Löffler and Janosch Sadowski, invested.

The start-up develops video games based on pixels and voxels. Industrial Technology and Witchcraft plans to use the capital from the financing round to develop new games and soundtracks.

The start-up was founded by Thilo Hardt and Tony Twyman. It is Hardt's third company. In 2007, he co-founded the online optician Mister Spex, followed by the software company eWings in 2013. Five years after launch, he sold eWings to American Express GBT. Both companies had been backed by High-Tech Gründerfonds. "The HTGF team was the first to be convinced to invest in Mister Spex and eWings.com. Now I am happy that we will work together for the third time," says Hardt.
