3.4 million euros for the market launch of Zavvy

Freeletics co-founders Joshua Cornelius and Mehmet Yilmaz founded a new start-up for personal development last year. They have now secured investor funding.
Zavvy has announced seed funding of 3.4 million euros for the market launch of its personnel management platform. La Famiglia VC led the financing round. Emerge Education, Picus Capital and several angel investors have also invested in the new start-up. These include Eventbrite co-founder Renaud Visage, Personio co-founder and Managing Director Hanno Renner and Forto co-founder and Managing Director Michael Wax.
Zavvy plans to use the capital to further develop its HR management platform for companies and expand its customer base. The platform is intended to help with the introduction of new employees in companies, connect employees with each other and help them to develop further. Based on existing personnel data, Zavvy creates employee programs that are integrated into the workflows of corporate customers. In the first half of the year, the start-up also plans to expand its offering to include training and survey solutions.
Joshua Cornelius and Mehmet Yilmaz founded Zavvy in Munich in 2021. Both co-founded the fitness and health app Freeletics. "At Freeletics, we learned that people naturally strive for growth and how challenging it is to support that. The same applies to professional development," say Joshua Cornelius and Mehmet Yilmaz. This requires solutions that are simple, social and integrated into everyday working life, which is what they now want to offer with Zavvy.
