36ZERO Vision raises 3.6 million euros

The Munich-based industrial tech startup 36ZERO Vision has closed a financing round of 3.6 million euros. The round is led by JOIN Capital, together with Bayern Kapital, Vanagon Ventures and UnternehmerTUM Funding for Innovators. The company intends to use the fresh capital to further develop its AI-based platform for visual quality control in industrial production and scale it internationally.

AI system for visual inspection focuses on suitability for everyday use

36ZERO Vision has developed a software-defined, hardware-independent solution for visual inspection. The "Vision OS" platform is based on proprietary AI technology and enables high-precision defect detection with significantly reduced false alarms ("pseudo defects"), which often occur in industrial applications. According to the company, the software is particularly easy to integrate and user-friendly, especially for non-technical users in production.

Companies such as Siemens, Bosch Rexroth and LEONI already rely on the 36ZERO Vision solution. The technology is suitable for various production environments and runs without complex hardware requirements.

Capital for team building and technical development

The company plans to use the new capital to further expand its team, drive forward product development and expand its market presence.

Investors see great market potential for Industry 4.0

In order to drive the development of Industry 4.0 application scenarios efficiently and profitably, recalls and rework - and therefore labor costs - must be reduced, while production quality and reliability must be improved.
