Baufi24 and Creditweb join forces with Hüttig & Rompf

The two start-ups and the established company are uniting under the Bilthouse umbrella brand. Together they want to reach more customers.
Fintechs Baufi24 and Creditweb are joining forces with financial services provider Hüttig & Rompf under the umbrella of a new group called Bilthouse. The majority shareholder of the new group will be Nordic Capital. The private equity company intends to drive the growth of the newly created company.
Nordic Capital has not only acquired a majority stake in the company, but also intends to make an investment of 30 million euros. Bilthouse intends to use this to combine and expand the different online and offline offerings of the three companies.
Together with Hüttig & Rompf, the start-ups Baufi24 and Creditweb employ around 700 people. According to their own information, the companies currently broker a construction financing volume of around five billion euros per year.
"Bilthouse will create added value for people looking for real estate financing," hopes Bilthouse CEO Tomas Peeters. "Our three brands appeal to different product segments (...)." The companies would bundle their core competencies in order to appeal to more customers together. "Nordic Capital is convinced of the enormous potential of this move and will actively support the companies' goal of accelerating growth and facilitating consumers' access to the best possible real estate financing," says Christopher Ekdahl, Director of Nordic Capital Advisors.
