Berlin/Bielefeld, January 9, 2024 - Berlin-based foundation fintech bcause has successfully expanded its Series A financing round: Aurum Impact, the impact investing arm of the Goldbeck family, is participating in the round and increasing the total volume to 4.7 million euros. The fresh capital will be used to further expand the platform for the digitalization and democratization of foundations.

Goal:makingphilanthropy easier and more accessible

bcause was founded in 2021 by Felix Oldenburg and Nicole Weyde. The platform enables private individuals and entrepreneurs to easily invest their foundation capital in charitable projects or impact investments. Over 2,000 users already use bcause to efficiently manage sustainable investments or donations.

Our goal is to make social engagement as easy as an online custody account. With Aurum Impact, we are gaining a strong partner to accelerate our growth and firmly anchor the new way of giving in our society.

Series A: Growth through strong partnerships

The Series A round was originally led by the Mast family of entrepreneurs (Jägermeister). Other investors are BonVenture and IBB Ventures. Aurum Impact's investment adds another prominent family office to the group of shareholders. The capital will flow into product development and the expansion of the community.
