Engert will become Co-Managing Director of the non-profit organization. She previously worked at Acton Capital.

Bettina Engert is the new Co-Managing Director of Startup Teens. She shares the management with Hauke Schwiezer. Engert previously worked at the Munich-based venture capital firm Acton Capital. She was previously involved in setting up Flixbus. Her brother Jochen Engert co-founded the transport company.

She is now looking forward to supporting young women in founding their own companies in the future. Startup Teens aims to empower young people to realize their ideas and become self-employed.

"There are an incredible number of smart minds out there. The majority of them don't so much lack the opportunities, but rather the content related to the startup environment," says Engert. "We leave too much talent behind too early because we don't create practical access to innovation topics at school. It's then too late in training or at university, so young people end up training for professions that may no longer exist in ten years' time due to a lack of inspiration."
